Frequently Asked Questions

The questions we are asked most. If yours is not here, email hello@felted-pet.com — a real person answers within one business day.

Ornaments, hoops and pendants take 3–4 weeks. Framed portraits take 4–6 weeks. Full body replicas take 6–8 weeks. The clock starts when you approve the draft photo, not when you order. Rush production is available at checkout on most items.

Every piece is made to order and cannot be resold, so we ask for half up front to reserve your production slot and buy the wool. We send a payment link for the balance once you have approved the finished photos, before the parcel ships.

Four to six daylight photos taken at your pet's eye level: face-on, both profiles, a full body shot, and a close-up of any unusual marking. Our photo guide covers this in detail. If you only have old or low-quality photos, send them anyway and we will ask you questions instead.

Yes — a large share of what we make is memorial work. Old, blurry or scanned photographs are workable. Tell us the date that matters to you and we will be honest about whether we can meet it.

Yes. Most products have a number-of-pets option at checkout, and we regularly make group pieces of four or more. Animals that never met can still share a portrait — we compose the scene for you.

We send a draft photo before the piece is finished, and adjustments at that stage are free and unlimited within reason. If the finished piece still is not right when it arrives, contact us within 14 days and we will rework it at our cost.

Yes, with tracking, from our studio. Standard shipping is free on orders over $69. Delivery is typically 7–12 business days depending on country and customs.

Checkout is handled by PayPal. You can pay with a PayPal balance or with any major credit or debit card through PayPal's guest checkout — a PayPal account is not required. We never see or store your card details.

The wool itself is natural and non-toxic. Sculptures contain wire armatures and sometimes glass eyes, so they are display pieces rather than toys — keep them out of reach of small children and chewing dogs.

Keep it out of direct sunlight, dust it with a soft brush, and never wash it. Water reactivates the felting process and can permanently distort the shape.
